Partnership with Maya Net

Ethical Fashion Guatemala LLC is committed to transparency and protecting the artisans we represent. We are issuing this statement to clarify that we are no longer affiliated with Maya Net in Panajachel, Guatemala.

Partnership Ended in 2022

Maya Net previously offered DHL shipping services on our behalf. However, that partnership ended in January 2022 when Ethical Fashion Guatemala brought all shipping operations under internal management. Today, all UPS, DHL, and FedEx shipping accounts are controlled exclusively by Ethical Fashion Guatemala LLC or its authorized service partners.

Unauthorized Use of Branding

During a recent visit to Panajachel, we observed that Maya Net is still displaying Ethical Fashion Guatemala signage and making references to our brand. We want to be clear: Maya Net is no longer authorized to use our name, branding, or materials in any capacity.

In addition, DHL has confirmed that Maya Net has outstanding unpaid invoices, which makes the ongoing use of our branding even more concerning.

Who We Are

Ethical Fashion Guatemala LLC was registered as a domestic LLC in the State of Arizona on April 28, 2021 (Entity ID: 23216163). The company is managed by Heather McManus and James Dillon, with support from Kara Goebel, who has been actively involved in our artisan protection work.

International Recognition for Artisan Protection

Our mission to protect indigenous Guatemalan artisans from copyright infringement has been recognized by several international media outlets, including:
