Guatemalan cuisine is growing in popularity, and this is your chance to see what makes it so special.

Gets hands-on experience preparing some of Guatemala’s most iconic dishes and shopping at a local market during our 5-hour Guatemalan Cooking Classes.

First we explore the market to pick out fresh meat, produce, and spices discovering the incredible diversity and unique regional ingredients in Guatemalan cuisine.

Guatemalan cuisine is an exotic mixture of traditional colonial Spanish and indigenous Mayan cooking that is both flavorful and fun to make.

The Guatemalan Cooking School takes place in Chef Teresa’s Tz’utujil home using traditional methods of cooking. Participants will prepare and cook the food together learning about Mayan gastronomy, culture, and life with the guidance of Chef Teresa.

When finished, each dish is served fresh right away.

What makes our cooking classes so special and unique is the small class size, the fresh ingredients, and the cooking in an authentic indigenous kitchen.

We believe that a cooking class is an interesting and fun way to learn about Guatemalan culture.

Please let us know beforehand if you have any special diets or allergies so we can modify the cooking class to your taste. We always cook with fresh ingredients from the local market.
